Are the Days of Expensive Hollywood Actors Nearly Over?

First we had 'Audrey Hepburn' selling chocolate, now I've just seen Arnie fighting 'himself' in the latest trailer.

With Hollywood actors commanding multi-million $ contracts, do you think they will eventually price themselves out of a job? Will directors increasingly just use cgi instead?

I'm thinking especially the Marvel-type franchises, where you know there is the prospect of many more to come.

to be fair...that 'Audrey Hepburn' is a very poor imitation so I hope whoever is in charge of CGI on future film franchises for anything makes them look a bit more realistic than she was!

Definitely, but presumbly it'll get better quite fast. Was wondering especially for actors like Samuel L Jackson in Avengers, where they have relatively small parts.

I was more interested how she managed to be in such a sunny looking place without her chocolate melting

The uncanny valley still hasn't been crossed effectively.

Until we do people will never relate well to "realistic" cgi and so it doesn't work for anything but action sequences any emotional talk scenes need a human actor

I think jar jar binks could be a lot more versatile, if hollywood just gave him a chance, a part in a tarantino movie would set his career alight

I've reported you for using offensive language and for inciting future violence in cinemas all over the world.
