Keith Lemon.......every show he does is purely about him.
And I am sure his wrist must be better now.
He is about as funny as a beefy fart in a space suit........

This is hard.
Acquired taste - Tony Law - he's very much an acquired taste. I've been 1 of 2 people not having a good time in a room of 200, so whilst he's not my cup of tea he is for his audience.
One trick pony - Wizzy Janew - he's excellent at what he does. However, all of his jokes are about him being blind and after you've heard 20 gags where him not seeing something is the punch line, you feel you've had your money's worth.
Used to be funny, but desperately need new material or a new angle - see Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre and Billy Connolly.
This is all very, very, very subjective and possibly unkind in the case of Wizzy, as with broader material he'd be better.  |

And anyone claiming that Steve Coogan (especially as Partridge), Johnny Vegas and Sean Lock are less funny is just plain wrong. |

All of the above deserve nominations but the clear winner is ..... Stephen K Amos.
How the hell he got a show on BBC2 amazes me. Then again the BBC do seem to make some weird choices when it comes to comedy - and they are not usually to do with how funny they are. |

it is daft that the man preaching equality for race still has jokes from 1985. but then plenty of others still on the limited material wagon are stephen k amos (race) jo brand (fat feminism) roy brown (filth) sean locke (just out to shock) and miranda who actually states eric morecombe as her hero. now there was a genius. |

Keith lemon another one I never got at all, like a camp bore. Why oh why do people rave about this idiot.
Allan Carr, yeah Allan yer gay SO WHAT who cares any more jokes other than sexual inuendos? Nope thought not.
Some folk mentioned really dont deserve to be on here as worse comedians because to be fair there more entertainers that do a bit of banter.

Roy Chubby Brown, I watched one of his sets and it was thirty minutes of sexist jokes about his wife. |

I see another trend on here. the vast majority are all mainstays of the BBC.
Waste of licence payers money.
If i had to name one, it'd be Lenny Henry, never been funny since the day he first appeared.

Oh and as a side note while I do like Ricky Gervais stand up he stays on one point far too long.
Set the story, make your joke, move on. Don't explain why it's funny by staying on the subject and repeating yourself, thats just patronising. |
