I've known my best friends for over 29 years one longer.
There's a group of six of us that have been through everything.
We where all single then married, kids, divorced one remarried ones still first time married.
In the last two years three have become grandparents, one is expecting her second grandchild as I'm expecting my first.
That just left my best friend to have grandchildren.
Three daughters and eldest having a big wedding in may, so we've all fussed her up over the wedding to compensate for her having no grandchildren.
She's just phoned me up and told me she had a huge secret.....she's going to be a grandma, her eldest has just found out.
I'm ecstatic for her. So three of us will be grandparents within 6 months of each other, the other grandchildren are only 2, so the next generation will all be brought up together as well |
