Yesterday I was making sweets and got splashed by some molten sugar. I treated the burn with ice immediately so it's not particularly painful but I have got a small (1cm x 1/2 cm) blister come up.
So, to pop or not to pop? It's on the side of my hand and I've knocked it a couple of times. If I did pop it I'd do it with a sterile needle and dress it, but should I just leave it? |

I normally pop them, peel the affected skin off and cover the raw area with a diprobase cream - I had new shoes recently, last Friday (8th), huge blister near my heel/ankle, very painful, today small mark where it used to be and was painless after 24hour hours. |

The water in the blister is there to protect the skin underneath. Don't pop it,it will burst or dry up on it's own. Keep a tissue handy in case it pops. I cover mine if they pop to avoid infection. |

Whatever you decide to do, pop or not, do not peel the skin off. It never ends well. I have a small scar on the top of my right boob from a blob of molten cheese that fell out of a microwave cannelloni for that very reason. Ouch! |
