I had mine in December and after a couple of weeks of feeling sore was able to do bits around the house after 4 weeks I was really bored and hardly any pain. Even started to have fun with the hubby again after 6 weeks we went on holiday and then I went back to work full time. It was the best thing I could have done and wish I'd done it years ago. Xxx |

It was not the most fun I ever had but as the last poster said, back to 'normal' in about six weeks. Very boring having to sit at home and not being able to do much. Get plenty of reading matter or DVDs lined up. You will be sleepy and sore for a while but it passes. Don't try to do too much too soon.
I also had a holiday lined up-
something to look forward to.
Wish you good luck and a speedy recovery
oh and dont read all the horror stories or watch ops on youtube before you go for yours! |

Debbie had hers 10 weeks ago. Not going to lie, she had a lot of discomfort and picked up a couple of infections, but she's good now and we can look forward to life without all the pain and problems that we used to deal with. |

There are ways round it. Whip out the slow cooker and do online shopping then its not so much on him xx good luck |

Had mine must be 9 years ago. I was painting walls 2 weeks later
It isn't something I would advice though , the painting walls it was just I really did feel so good mentally after it after years of pain. Truth it was 8 weeks before I was fully recovered and then a week of light duties at work first. |

My best friend on here had hers a few years back...no periods, no fear of pregnancy etc....we both appreciate the situation. Never looked back.
Apparently , as others have said, 8 weeks later back in the swing of full life. |

It will depend how much you have taken away and how much you are cut on your recovery time. It took me months before I could lift my leg straight up properly,I like my ballet exercises for my legs. Take it slow, don't push yourself or you could make complications and give your son more to worry about. The anaesthetic can take a while to get out of your system, you may feel emotional for a while after. If you do something and feel sharp pain then stop. I hope all goes well for you. Once I was back on my feet I felt like a different woman. |

Mine was 8 years ago so long forgotten any pain and discomfort but I dont remember it being anything other than bareable. What I do remember though is the frustration/boredom no lifting kettles, doing chores, no driving or sex. There are only so many crosswords you can do the first few weeks. |
