Ive noticed that it is mainly same people commenting on topics... plus the topics also seem to rotate. I'm fairly new to the forum but am noticing the pattern. How long have you been chatting/commenting and how would you say fab has changed; and are the changes for better or worse?

Answer on a postcard please

I'm not sure how long I've been commenting, two maybe three years.

I have noticed that there are several topics which occur regularly and attitudes go in cycles. I try not to comment on certain threads because I know they will run a predictable course.

Post on whatever thread interests you, have your say, the more opinions and _iews on the forums, the richer the debate will be.

Brighton - even Hove!

The same or similar topics do arise. It's because new people don't think to doba search for their topic and if they don't use the exact wording, it doesn't appear.

I use the forums a fair bit but can't take it seriously.

I've been here around 3 years. I used the gobby determined method of joining the regulars - I just kept posting.

The same issues reappear frequently and can sometimes get lots of sarcasm. But there are generally some genuine responses too.

Poking the troll is a forum pastime, it irks the mods but done with care and mindful of the forum rules it can be fun

Do you think they provide a deeper meaning to fab rather than just being on her looking for sex?

Been reading the forum and posting bollocks for about 18 months...it hasn't changed much really, even though it can feel a bit like a revolving door at times, with folks coming and going. My favourite time in here was just over a year ago, but it was still fresh to me then. Now it's more like a comfy pair of shoes that I put on each day. My main reason I am still here is it helps me fulfil the goal of having a bloody good laugh each day. I've also got to know a few bloody lovely people on here and there are plenty more I'd like to get to know better.

Forum topics rotate a bit, yes. Sometimes flavours of a theme.

I've been here 3 years or so and my posted _iews have changed a bit, in line with my opinions. I sometimes don't post if it's tedious stuff. I add less humour now too.

I feel I'm miss sensible in the forums, though only others could determine that, as I maybe spout twaddle.

I tire of extremely long posts copied and pasted, for a user to add three or four words at the bottom. Takes too long scrolling down, through mass repeated posts to get the new bit of an opinion.

New users will likely continue to post the same stuff, especially single guys who've had no sex. We can spot the posts and ignore, if desired.

There's a bit more tolerance than there used to be, I think.

It's all I really use on fab, having done the chat and cam thing, it's a bit of light relief, a bit of escapism and mostly makes me giggle.. I've met many a fellow forumite, and some long term friendships have been forged. I tend to stay away from the more serious threads, but have been drawn in occasionally... I ludicrous nonsense.. And often babble away to myself. Yes I've seen a change that's for sure... And arguably not for the better.

I found the fora as soon as I joined 4 or so years ago and I've pretty much posted inane drivel ever since...I've made friends all over the country as a direct result of my mad ramblings and love travelling to the big socials (watch out Swingfields, The Wyrd Sisters are coming )

I find the fora endlessly fascinating but they go through phases where they're more bitchy than usual - love that there's new regulars coming along - one or two may end up on my hotlist

little house on the praire

I feel like old father time.

There's been many changes (who remembers the old forums).

People come and people go, some fabulous arguments, some serious shit talked.

Some really serious interesting debates and some downright funny threads.

Something must keep us here, I like the funny and stupid but sometimes like to put an interesting thread up.

But for all the comings and goings and arguments everyone pulls together when needed. Can anyone remember when we held socials to raise money for a very special person? Think we raised over £3000 in total.

I for one won't forget the support I had when my dad died, the forums got me through those early days.

Not forgetting the good times, weddings and births and the couples that have got together and stayed together and the friendships formed.

by the big field

I've been on swing forums for 10 years in a couple of weeks and fab for about 5 (on an old profile)

If you ignore the 'can't get a meet/shaved or not/biggest whatever/bareback/married/religion' threads, it can be pretty varied.

The same people seem to post as they feel comfortable in the forums and with each other, many have lots of history and long friendships so its like going to a pub with regulars in it.

Been on and off here 4 years. I still daydream about turning up to a 'forumite social' with a petrol can and a burning rag

I find the fora endlessly fascinating but they go through phases where they're more bitchy than usual - love that there's new regulars coming along - one or two may end up on my hotlist

Well if the Wyrd Sisters are going I think I'll give it a miss!

7 or 8 years.

I liked it best some years ago. There seemed to be more banter and wittier - less precious folk about.

I still enjoy a look in every few days or so. Some 'good' folk around.

Might just be an age thing or im a tad jaded now Who knows.

Been using the forums on and off for about 4 years.

Sometimes I enjoy them and other times, not at all. When I'm not enjoying them, you won't find me hanging around here.

I have learnt to stick mostly to the fun and light hearted threads. Some of the serious ones, press my buttons too much. I'm here for light entertainment and perving.
