anybody else seen them recently? We did and, well after some less than favourable comments about Axel arriving on stage late etc... we were smitten at the performance. Full of energy, great music and the audience reflected this in ranging from 7 to 97 ... WHAT a night! |

Not seen then since they played Main Rosad Machester in 1992.
Think they, well axl are crap. He is nothing without Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steve Adler.
Last album was crap and only 3 or 4 songs were any good.
Slash's solo album was better.
GNFR died when axl took the name |

"Would have liked to have seen them before they disintegrated into their own tribute act.
Utterly irrelevant these days, unfortunately."
Agree with you they were unique before and Slash was a other dimension- but tbh their performance a few days ago was really awesome... |

Saw them when they headlined at Download a couple of years ago and they were so awful, Axel spent more time off the stage than on it and I wished i had gone down to the other tent and watched Billy Idol as he was a ledge, according to other members of our party who did go and see him.
We were soooo disappointed, especially as I had taken my little brother to his first ever gig at the NIA a few years before to see Velvet Revolver who were ace! Slash is still amazing, Axel, had lost it! |

Sadly (and that was my only criticism) they were running late by about an hour and half - and quite a few people had to leave around 11 and thus missed the best part which went on til 12.15 - suppose you can only judge the performance by what you experienced on the night so I would imagine that many people who had to leave early might agree with you. |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
"They keep spandex manufactures in business
That'll be Steel Panther (highly recommended if you ever liked '80s metal)
I bet they look back and cringe at what they looked like. "
I doubt it - their first album came out this year! |

Last year, but never mind, it fucking rocks. Can't decide whether "Asian Hooker" is better than "Fat Girl (Thar She Blows)" for a little sing-song on the motorbike, but I know I ought to STFU when I ride slowly through towns, rather than singing along at the top of my voice.... |
