doom and gloom

seems to be lurking almost everywhere with forecasts that things (ie recession, unemployment etc) are going to get worse before they get better.

What do you personally make of such depressing predictions - do you ignore them, get depressed by them and how do they affect the way you live your life?

must say tho it's refreshing to not see so many perfectly good sofas and home furnishings being chucked out, and people may think a bit harder about recycling?

Well we started off with nothing and we still have most of it left!

So when times get hard it doesn't make much difference to us,we just carry on as usual.

Like it - my attitude to doom and gloom is one of... your happiness is largely in your own hands... (well sometimes in other places too...) so my glass is definitely half (or more than half) full
