apparently an overweight mum put her then 2 year old daughter on a a diet to make sure she would stay pretty and slim - the little one has been fed just 700 calories a day and this has been going on for several years.
Opinions on this? |

Daft idea, feed the kid well, not a diet and not too much, it's not exactly difficult.
My wife tends to worry if our 4yr old son refuses to eat much for a few days, but sure as clockwork he soon goes into eat anything thats not hiden mode :P
Once saw a pogram with a girl complaining her 3yr old son was over wieght and she didn't know why... then she showed what the poor bugger was allowed to eat... his breakfast alone was about 4 sausages, 4 bacon, 3 eggs, toast and beans!!!
Now i'm a large lad and I would struggle with that amount of food, but the kid wolfed it down. |

I saw this on tv this morning, the mum has put the child on a diet, the chances are the child will end up with some sort of eating disorder while the mother stuffs her face like she always has... It's disgusting. |

I have personally had a problem with my weight since I was young and of course that was one of my greatest fears once I had kids that they would have the same problems. But I have never thought about putting them on a diet.It is all about the right choices and portion size etc. My son is 5 and my twin girls are 3 and they thankfully LOVe their fruit and veg and both myself and my ex have the same ideas about what they eat and junk food is almost nonexistant in their diets.about a year ago my mother in law was out shopping with my eldest and the woman at the till was amazed that he wasn't begging for sweets that were there beside him and the mil said "well...he has never really had sweets so why would he beg to have them?" |
