He said if there was ambiguity in the Tory manifesto about it, he wouldn't stand in the election. It was ambiguous, he stood. When interviewed by Andrew Neill yesterday he said he would have to stand down if the Tories supported an independent review that proposed a 3rd runway. He left himself no get out. But would he stand down? I doubt it! |
