As an ex smoker I have no issues with those who still partake however I notice that the majority of profiles state "non smoker" and "will not meet smokers" but as I watch the cams it seems like everyone in there smokes.
Do you think a good percentage of smokers actually advertise as non smokers to increase their chances of a meet?
As an ex smoker I would detect a smoker within seconds of a meet so why lie?
Your thoughts. |

"Smokers who don't smoke on meets may put themselves as non-smokers... Doesn't make them a liar, it just means their definition of smoker is different to yours "
Ah, right. So if someone who normally eats meat stops for one day a week they can call themselves a vegetarian? |

What a ridiculous statement! So a married man can call himself single if he rocks up without his wife?!! |

I'm still a smoker and can tell if a non-smoker on here smokes, can smell and taste it on them. Don't know how they think an actual non-smoker wouldn't notice.
Suppose they reckon once they turn up they won't get turned down? Maybe some gave up and then started again and forgot to change their profile as well.

Yes...according to some it would appear. |

I think possibly a lot of people on here don't smoke and only a small portion of the people who use the site actually use the chat rooms.....I know I have never been there. Remember that hardly anyone who is on the site comes to the forums too..... |

I'm a former smoker (not smoked this century) and could spot a smoker...so I thought. Lived with my other half five months before I knew he smoked.
I think it's because he only smokes one roll up a week...don't know why he bothers!

We are smokers, no secret, don't hide it, and if it stops someone wanting to meet us then hey ho, next.
What we find irritating though is the number of winks, messages, and friend requests we get from people who "wont meet smokers" |

I'm a smoker and honest about it.....though often get pulled up on my profile as it says 'won't meet smokers' - Seems fair on the face of it....
However, after turning up on a meet where the guy literally reeked...like he'd been in a dark seedy room with another 100 smokers....that's when I updated my profile.
I also never smoke myself on a playdate.....too busy doing other more yummy things! |

We are honest in our profile and state clearly (for those who read profiles) that we both smoke. Those that don't like it, then know not to message us.
Will say that we've met quite a few 'non smokers' who carry around cigarettes or will ask for one of ours. |

Yes because that's EXACTLY the same thing. I'm just saying that if a smoker is considerate enough to not smoke on a meet, doesn't smell of smoke, doesn't taste like an ashtray and has no evidence of being a smoker because they wish to meet non-smokers then if they want to put non-smoker on their profile then so be it. What if you only smoke when you're at the pub? Should you put smoker if you're meeting somebody on here and won't be smoking while you're with them? What a ridiculous analogy.
"

It makes them whatever they want to be. In keeping with ridiculous statements, if a man decides that one day a week he wants to have sex with a man, does that make him gay? No it makes him whatever he wants to call himself. |

For some reason the idea of someone 'vaping on cam' brings to mind someone staring at the screen hardly being able to comprehend the horror they are seeing!
But then again I find 'vaping' to be a very silly phrase when applied to the consumption of e-cigarettes. I'm trying to get the phrase 'iSmoke' into pop culture (because it works on two levels....) |

"Have a closer look as to what those people are smoking. It isn't always tobacco.
How do you know whether it's tobacco or not just from looking?"
Just watch them roll it! |

Even if a smoker stops smoking for a couple of hours for a meet, they can still smell and taste of smoke. It gets into the skin, hair and clothes. Not to mention their cars and houses. They are still defined as a smoker, even if they abstain for a short time. |

If a man decides one day a week he wants to have with a man then yes, he's possibly gay, if he doesn't have sex, or sexual inclinations towards women.
If he does desire women, then despite whatever he may decide to call himself, he is bisexual.
You saying someone can call themselves whatever they like despite evidence to the contrary is ludicrous.
If you smoke but can refrain for a length of time before, and during, a meet then you're still a smoker. Stating you will/can do so in your profile text is the honest way to go about it.
