Just watched the first one again, been a few years.

What an awesome film, fantastic concept.

It could so be true and we'd never know, I don't think it'll ever loose its appeal with me.

You seem to pick up something new each time you watch them

The first one is Brilliant and ahead of it's time. The plot deteriorated though. The last one with that silly place Zion was almost boring. Some films you watch over and over again like the matrix. The third one I've only ever watched it once at the cinema. It's just so dull and predictable. The first one you can never say that of it.

I remember seeing it first time and was really impressed, also the car chase in the second one.

Se films just have that originality.

And Trinity's PVC suit of course

The first is an epic, I can live with the second two.

Loved the orgasm bit in the second, very erotic

It was written by a black women who also wrote Terminator. Hollywood screwed her over. She's making Matrix 4 apparently.

Really?

I thought the wazolowski brothers wrote the Matrix, and Cameron wrote Terminator with his (white) wife.

You haven't got muddled with the Oracle have you? You realise she was just part of the story

Great franchise though, on so many levels.

And Carrie Anne Moss....

There are a fair few theories knocking about that we're living in a computer simulation.

Ahhh! Her!

Massive urban legend I'm afraid. Not sure if Time magazine would be an allowed link, but if you google her name, the fact that her lawsuit was thrown out should come up

There is no spoon - I just watched it yet again. Always love the Rage against the Machine music at the end as well.

The original idea made much more sense in that machines used the unused bits of a person's brain for processing power.

The idea they use the humans to generate electrical power was used because they thought most people wouldn't be able to grasp the original idea.

But it does mean the entire concept of the film is retarded. They'd make more power burning the food they feed the humans rather than keeping them alive to harvest body heat etc

I prefer xkcd's one that it's a man slowly laying out rocks across an infinite dessert
