Got one with a Panasonic and it works well - particularly from a Samsung tablet, so suspect it would work equally well with a Samsung TV.

I dont need a chrome cast as I have samsung led smart tv and samsung phone/ tablet and providing they both connected to wifi you can play vids etc on your tv
