Have come across a few profiles on here who say they want to meet single guys but when you try to message them they have blocked everyone of your sex. I just don't get it |

Because they don't want to be bombarded with messages and want to choose the guy for themselves. Not have a thousand options thrust upon them at once. |

Met be they have loads of messages from single guys & they have put a block on to work there way through them !!
There's a multitude of reasons why ppl do it ...

^ exactly that
It sounds really big-headed and arrogant but if we removed the filters we get large volumes of mail, let's say we get 10 messages 2 of them will be well written, the other 8 will not what we're looking for so send a copy and paste generic reply saying thanks for the message but no thanks.
3 will come back saying ok no worries and 1 will be abusive or say your lose etc and 1 will say give me a chance lets just meet for a social and see how it goes.
Far easier to put filters on. |

Would people really stoop this low? 
Couples and single females may just want to find single men themselves, so it's just easier to block and do the messaging yourself. |

That's pathetic. I'm not actively looking for single men, I've blocked them from messaging me, but if I like the look of a single man, then I'll go out of my way to contact him. |
