It's the old standards that still apply in many cases, even on here. A man who behaves immodestly is a good bloke a woman on the other hand..... |

Why is it ways a race to the bottom though..? Push to raise the standards of most men, not debase most women.. |

Yes I agree about basic respect, however if people behave like sub humans then they deserve and will get absolutely no respect from me, in fact utter contempt. |

Because centuries of social conditioning has taught us that people have a certain place in society. And that the way you look means your personality equates to something, which is BS perceptions of others.
I don't think it really applies to women as much any more though. I think people don't like anyone immodest in general coz it highlights their own insufficiencies and makes them feel inadequate, especially if they're looking to others for validation (which people tend to do more than ever these days now they can).
Plus when you big yourself up you can look like an arsehole sometimes lol, depends how you do it and if anyone agrees or not. Many people don't care how others see them, there's always been someone for everyone, even arseholes. |
