How does twitter know our interests? Its our family account so like to keep it away from this side of things yet there are people showing up off here in our you may know section!! And swingers pages are following us! Its a completely separate email address and no phone number or anything linked to it. |

Your phone reads every application you have opened. for example I set up LinkedIn on my phone and where it says "people you may know" it showed lots of people from my phonebook. wtf! Have to go through your settings and see if there is something that prevents this but it is tricky with new phones sadly. |

Im getting that on Facebook. I found n guy i was chatting to off pof and didn't even meet up and deleted him number a long time ago and suddenly there he is in "people you may know"
FFS!!!
Last thing I want is men I chatted to once finding my FB page.

what email did you sign up to twitter for?
gmail tend to gather loads of info i noticed. funnily enough i can't find the terms and conditions for twitter on twitter or using google, am sure the answer would be in there.
most social sites now tend to be intrusive and you basically sign away your privacy by using them. |

If you have firefox browser and go to use facebook you can see all the web addresses loading in the bottom left corner of your browser that gather your info, there's loads of them.
