Why can't i get a Savaloy.

This has been bugging me for years.
Why is it when I cross over the border, which is the M25 (the Adrian's wall of the south) that I cant get a savaloy for love nor money.
In my local chippy I can get mushy peas, gravy and now there even selling bits (great food from the north)
So my question is, why hasn't the rest of Britain embarrassed our great South East Savaloy |

Never been in a northern chippy that didn't have them. We just don't give them a name above their station. They are jumbo sausages. And taste fucking terrible, unless covered in proper British curry! |

A jumbo sausage and a saveloy are not the same thing! |

Maybe it's worried it won't measure up.
Think the word you're looking for OP is embraced."

you could go to Scotland and try a red pudding - don't ask for a red pudding and chips though; it's "red pudding supper", even if you're buying it at lunchtime |

That's the one, red skin. When I'm in Yorkshire I get a blank look when asking for a saveloy.
Most have never heard of a saveloy. And the only way to eat a saveloy is with chips without mushy pees and gravy |

"Another day, another single man whining about not getting a meat."
Whining! I think not. As you can see this single man gets his meat, both ways. That's why one can converse about the subject in question.

"Mmmmmmm animal lungs nice.
Not!
If you eat McDonald's or kfc then you get plenty worse that that"
But we don't eat those for that very reason.
Another thing I can't fathom out how people eat it is, tounge.
Ewwww |

Yeah, and I second the comment about saveloy dips. You can get those here, and they're lush... "
when Scouse first moved up here she had never had a saveloy dip not she's addicted to them; whenever we're in town we have to get them |

And there's me, the big mouth southerner put to shame by the North East, putting a different angle on my beloved Saveloy. Bringing it upmarket |

Tongue is lovely. So is heart , liver & kidney. I don't understand why people only eat the flesh when the innards are a lot more tasty. |

Available at the best chippy in Bristol; the C*d F*ther.
We will be there, tomorrow night.
Fish and chips, cooked to order.
No messing.
No drama.
Savaloys are available, but haddock rules.

"MrMan - are you sure you want to be asking for a sausage on Fab? "
Excuse me, your the second fabster who's tried to lower the tone of my question.
The amout of message I've received saying
"What's a Saveloy"
(mainly from the north west and Scotland, but that just between me and you) |

Tongue is just muscle. Tastes great and is fairly lean. Do people think its got taste buds on it? |
