Mrs ddc has just brought home some soured cream* because it was on special offer
But
a) What on earth am I to do with it?
b) Isn't it just 'posh' yoghurt?
c) How come it has a sell-by date?
Mr ddc
*apologies if 'soured cream' is slang for something else, I realise now I should have checked that Urban Dictionary first...

"You can cook with it in both savoury and sweet and use it on the side with both savoury and sweet - if you've got a really rich chocolate dessert soured cream is perfect."
That's tomorrow's pud sorted: dark chocolate brownies with Rolos in them |

"
Warning - the souring does not make it any more healthy or improve its weight watchers points value. "

"Oh god I love soured cream. Have it with nachos or make a beef stroganoff with it!"
My Hungarian Goulash recipe is the only other one I could think of, but I've only ever used a mixture of yoghurt and cream. Paying for cream.that has gone sour just never quite sounded right... |

And that's the other half sorted, gonna mix it with feta and chives, spread it on sliced aubergine, and bake it in a tomato and basil sauce.
Thanks peeps
(Just off to check 'pizza crusts' isn't slang for something...) |

"beef stroganoff mmmmm"
And that's why I bought it.
Delicious to have all the proper ingredients incl melt in the mouth steak.
Yum, yum.
(Even thing I say so myself, lol)
Although tomorrow night's dinner (above) sounds promising.
