I like kik more than whatsapp or vibre. Whatsapp you have to give your number out and the person might be a bunny boiler so you are stuck with them.
Vibre not that many people use in the UK.
You also get a light D this means it's been delivered but the person you sent the message too has no connection. |

You can install whatsapp on your phone, get a cheap pay as you go phone (or sim) and register whatsapp to that number on your existing smartphone.
Hey presto, can use whatsapp but if they try calling the number it will be to a sim you dont use...
