Our meals were quick and from packets and boxes except for a Sunday roast. My mum's roast dinners were lovely, with little crispy roast potatoes. My family didn't like them cooked like that so I've not had them since I left home at 19 |

Used to go home for dinner when I was at school, I lived with my nan, she's do me spaghetti and meatballs every day, I loved it, everyday she'd ask I'd I wanted something different tomorrow and I'd say no, I've been a vegaterian since I was 14 but I still miss that |

Arctic roll.
And my nan's chips, when we used to go to stay with her I'd come back about a stone fatter. She was one of those grandmas who'd be like "are you hungry? I'll make you a snack" and start peeling potatoes and cooking chips in the pan from scratch.
Oh, and proper Welsh cakes. |

Has to be mini pizzas from Iceland "
Loved the mini Pizzas! Used to get ours from Kwik save supermarket though.
I also loved potato waffles covered in red sauce with baked beans, and the Vesta Beef Risotto. |

Chicken Drummers. Disgusting. God i'd love one now."
My son cracked me up not long ago, he was talking to me and a friend about meat and how your better off being a vegan and cows milk and giving us all the facts about them. That you should by organic milk because such n such is full of rubbish..... I give him some money to get something to eat and he comes back with Bernad Matthews Turkey Dinasours! |

"Rizzoles from my Grandad's local butchers
What is Rizzoles?"
If you can imagine a spicy hash brown with meat, onions, grated carrot in instead, fried until sizing....well kind of like that. But my description of a childhood memory from over 40 years ago does not do them justice. They were a lovely lunchtime treat with bread and butter on a Tuesday, when my Grandad would walk me home for lunch while I was at infant school |

My Grandmother used to serve quiche under the pretence it was pizza.
It was most confusing for a six year old when I actually got round to trying a real one.

My mum did an amazing chicken casserole. I went veggie in my teens but the smell of that was so tempting. She was a good cook all round really. Amazing gooseberry crumble too.
I also miss cheese Findus crispy pancakes. And my nan's ridiculously overcooked flat mince pies. |

We had these once a week with mash and spaghetti. Findus grill steaks once a week with mash, cabbage and peas. We did start having Bolognese as we got older with soya mince added to bulk it up. We had savoury rice from a packet with fish fingers and peas. Meat pies were made with tinned filling but she made her own pastry. She did make a nice cake, bread pudding and apple pie. |
