There seem to be some poster that post alot but dont contribute. They quote everyone else and add their emojes or ^this^ but hardly add anything else.
Now im all for everyone saying their piece but what's the point of repeating other people's points? Why not just say it in your own words?

"I do ^^ when another poster has pretty much written what I would have said ~ saves me repeating the wording and its similar to the 'like' button on FB."
Just seems like a waste of time to me and if that's pretty much all someone is doing on forums I'd think that person has no personality to come up wigh her own thoughts. |

what would be the point of 174 ways of saying what someone else said.
If they agree they show support.
If they don't they express.

There are one or two people who I've noticed only ever seem to do this rather than posting their own comment (I've probably only noticed because they're generally thumbing something inane like "it's not fabcheaters!") and it does make me think they have no independent thought, but if it's what they want to do more power to 'em.
I'll if someone's already said what I was going to say better than I could have done. |

This for me too. I go in spates of doing thumbs up if I'm lazy.
Sometimes (always!) I have nothing intelligent to say so just thumbs up someone's post that is clevererer than anything I can come up with.
It doesn't irritate me when people do thumbs up or smileys. It's all good. |

Well my opinion is you are wrong.
Maybe take a look outside the box to the larger grey area, it could also be someone's way of contributing to the forums without the fear of being jumped on.

Also,because of lack of activity in my brain-nothing firing-I can't think of the right words I want to say,so instead of sounding intelligent and verbose,I sound like a teenager. Better to let someone else do the thinking and agree with it so people know you understood what they wrote. Some people here use very big words of many syllables. |
