Blondie
I thought Debbie Harry was the most beautiful person I had ever seen.
The song was Denise Denise and was the first single I ever bought.
I'm not sure if they didn't pack it in last year. Either way I only liked their first album 'Parallel Lines'. |

I was bought Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" album when I was about 11 and played it 'til it bled...then over birthdays an Christmases got all of his other albums and listened to nothing else.
It wasn't that I didn't like other stuff, he was the only one who counted...I'd listen to cretain songs at certain times of day EVERY SINGE DAY.
The suddenly the Happy Mondays appeared...and I started being served in pubs...and everything changed.
"Born To Run" was by far my favourite song, and it takes me back to my teens whenever I hear it on the radio...so does "Thunder Road", "Darkness on the Edge of Town" and about 6 others.
Do I still love him? Not with the same passionate intensity I used to. But a couple of years back I picked up a couple of his early albums cheap, and do you know...they've aged well.
We're at the stage now where we can get on as friends...see each other from time to time and let each other know we're okay...I've moved on and I think Bruce has too, but we're both comfortable with it.
I'd still kill a puppy to see him live though. |

Funky Fact #104
I have been mistaken for Adam Ant twice in my life about 6 years apart, one of them I even faked an autograph on a d*unk mans arm, my friends rip the piss out of me to this day.
I might add that I look absolutely nothing like him. Bizarre! |

I'm not 100% sure, but I remember playing my dads records and listening to stuff like The Dubliners and Hawkwind
The first album I ever brought, with my money, was Guns & Roses - Appetite for Destruction; I still get goose bumps at the first bars of 'Welcome to the Jungle' |

Michael Hutchins…INXS And he had the voice and the looks. The track would be “Need You Tonight," and I still play the CDs but a lot less often these days. |
