Yes, some of them have (respect to those that have served in the forces) but the state still pays enormous amounts of money to keep them in the style to which they have become accustomed. Their salaries are pin money to them. |

I wish the Royal family and new Royal baby all the best. But I take a moment to toast and pray for children also born today, sadly into poverty with no fanfare and adulation. Every new life is precious and deserves the best start in life and some children will never get that due to issues beyond the control and understanding.

Largely down to the sacrificing of around 20,000,000 soldiers, not all at the hands of the Germans either. If Russian troops tried to retreat they were shot by their own side. They faced death either way. |

It's a common misconception that the royal family costs easch one if us hundreds of pounds each year from our taxes. It doesn't, it costs us less than 10p each.
Slagging of the monarchy seems to the 'in thing' for some. To me it just means they're quite obviously jealous.
People should be proud we have such a rich history and hard working royal family. |

Not a royalist at all... Hate all the ceremonial stuff ...with horses and carriages...trumpets and whatever...
Nonetheless, a mum has given birth and that's a beautiful thing. Hope they're both healthy and well, and the little girl lives a wonderful life. |
