What is your blood pressure?
Jump to: Newest in thread
No idea but it's very low indeed and I often nearly black out if I stand up too quickly. A doctor once advised me not to jump out of bed in the morning but to take my time and get up very slowly......I have happily been following her advice for years now |

"I have a friend nicknamed Mr Dead because his resting pulse rate is so low. He's very very fit. "
The nurse said I must be dead as the machines don't read mine. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
175/75 the last time I had it taken. Not too bad for a fat bint.
It has dropped to zombie numbers in the past and I can feel when it's very low. It has never been in the too high range.

Mine always runs low. So much so that the hospital refused to discharge me a few times until I got it higher despite the problem I'd been admitted for being resolved.
Even now when I have a check up they often stick me in a side room with a drink before they'll let me got home. |

I can never remember mine , but it know it's ok. When I was pregnant it went stupidly high so I got kept in hospital a few times. I remember being told that it never goes back to what it was before you had children. Not sure if that's true or just a myth. |

Mine was borderline (150/90) so having to take BP medication to lower it owing to another condition. It seems to be working as yesterday it was 119/76. Longer term I am planning to keep it down through diet and exercise.

I have absolutely no idea on the numbers, but I've always been told it's fine whenever it's been measured so it's not really something that's on my radar. |

I wish... Mine never was until 6 months ago after a trip to the opticians. I'm convinced the more they've been monitoring the more it increased

I warn them now they will have to do it manually as I'm dead and I don't have a pulse. |

If you urinate a lot you have less water in your blood which causes low blood pressure. If I drink more I just wee more |

I get white coat syndrome ! It's definitely real. Do they let you monitor it at home to get more accurate readings when you're relaxed. |

120/80 is what everyone should aim for. Best advise is cut down SALT....it instantly has an effect on the cardiac muscle of the heart. Also exercise always improves the blood prwssure for those who have it raised.
I am familiar with the medical area so this is the best advise I can give.

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire) |
Mine is always low now. They have trouble reading it, but much better than being threatened with medication 5 years ago, but then 18 stone weight loss, lifestyle and exercise have turned it round.
Resting heart rate - usually between 50 and 54 bpm

That's my doctor's suggestion as well before the next visit. The issue is I have swollen optic nerves. The hospital want to eliminate possible causes quickly so it's all a bit back to front. |

I eat too many crisps and don't do enough exercise so in the past year my bp has increased.
