Apparently now when I go to the chemist before they sell me paracetamol I have to discuss it with a counter assistant
If I want to see a doctor I have to explain the symptoms to the receptionist
If I ring 111 to see a dentist I spend 30 minutes talking about toothache
I am 46 I survived this long knowing when I should or should not get medical advice why now must I explain to these people that I need it
Surely the doctor should decide |

you only have to read threads on here when people are asking the stupidest questions about their arm hanging off and should they see a Dr, or they have waited Mon - Fri with symptoms and on a Fri night at midnight decide they need to see one....

You think that's bad?
I had a run in with a chainsaw, and, whilst it wasn't too bad, being a sunday I had to ring the out of hours receptionist who, with her vast training in medical matters, would decide if I needed a doctor.
I told her I'd had an accident with a chainsaw, and was bleeding heavily... to which came the immortal reply "Oh, is it serious?"
SERIOUS? You daft bint, chainsaw accidents are very rarely NOT serious ffs!
Admittedly this one wasn't too bad, but I still needed stitches!!!
I ask you! |
