Not sure why but suppose some of the fulsome verifications we read are similar. I do laugh when I see "mmmmm great meet, you know who you are, thanks hun" it always makes me think there hasn't been any meet at all. |

fake profiles maybe to entice people with the thought that u might actually get laid! Another thing is people who constantly post about kestrals or other clubs |

I always laugh at the "you know who you are" bit. We all know who we are....don't we? |

I once had as my status..."happy anniversary to my wonderful husband...you know who you are!" |

Because when you're on a high you want to share. And many of us have very few people outside the swinging world who know what we get up to so here we can let all the happiness spill over and not have to explain anything. |

It's the lack of verification that gets me - you think sooner or later SOMEONE would verify them! |

"When we've had a great meet we're usually grinning from ear to ear for days, so much that everyones wondering whether we've won the lottery! It's nice to be able to have an outlet to admit it. "

It's no more or less senseless than the status you have on your profile just now. |

Why is there a need to say if you have a meet or not I never understand that as I don't like doing feed back after had some mailing people I did saying they know me and never so now I keep to myself. |

I'm sure I've been guilty of a smug status or two in the past and this is exactly the reason why |

Aren't veris for showing your appreciation or otherwise?
I would be happy for FAB to bin the status up update option, it's a charter for attention seekers.
However if my house was on fire and I was unaware, I guess I'd appreciate a status update from someone who knows about it so I could get out. |

Actually many of our friends are happy to see that we've had fun, just like we're happy to see them enjoying themselves too, so it really can be sharing the joy.
The flip side is that cheerful messages really piss the hell out of single guys who aren't getting enough, and that's a great reason for doing it too |

I don't think I've ever posted a 'you know who you are' type update unless it's been in jest. But I may have alluded to some fantastic shenanigans in a moment of post-coital bliss in the past. God forgive me for swinging and mentioning it on a swingers' site!
Also, since I have my 'looking for' turned off I don't appear in local updates so only my friends see my statuses in their feed unless they're actively searching for my type. And if you can't even talk about having sex with the mates you have on here then when the hell else could you? |

Drawing attention to your profile, appealing to others especially those you maybe interested in that you haven't managed to search out yet, generally keeping your profile active. In our book it's one of the very best parts of your fab account and the essence of what this place is about. Keeps you current and of continual interest to others, attention seeking is part of being here.
