New service online, from microsoft, analyses your face pic and estimates your age and gender. Not always a good thing, as one may get an answer that's not particularly flattering. How-Old dot net, is a free tool, try it at your own risk. It added 100 years to my age. |

No I trust my gut instinct more than Microsoft software when it comes to making judgements about people. |

This type of software operates on straight edges.
If you don't have a face with significant features it will guess a hell of a lot more wildly than it guesses already.
Older people have less "straighter edges" than younger people.
So the less straighter edges the older you are.
If you're 21 and you have a normal face/chubby'ish that computer will tell you you're 76. |

Not sure how much credibility Microsoft Has now days, Before microsoft took Over Skype the site worked pretty well now It Does,nt lots ofsecurity Issues and plenty of scammers jumping on board When Before the takeover they were not getting on the site in the same numbers They are now. |

I did this with a few pics. Smiley ones I got 20-23, a normal looking one I got my correct age and on the miserable looking ones I got a 39  Moral of the story for me is smile more  |

27 and female for my profile pic, and another pic same result. Lol one pic couldn't detect any faces.
A pic of my ex had him at 24 (he was 32) and me as 47 (i was 39). |

It put me (with my grey hair) at 26-29 depending on pic, a pic of my daughter at the age of 9 as 26 and a group photo of a bunch of people I work with at 46-67 (they are all in their 30's)
Its a piece of crap at the minute. |

I was the oldest woman on the planet, using a uni pic, though some friends have used theirs with accurate results. It's still in development phase, so expect it to improve or be scrapped. |
