Was yours a private appointment? I've gotta go private as my dentist can't do wisdom teeth pull outs.

Try a dental hospital. If you require sedation. I'm not sure if there is a charge but doubt it would be 400.

" its no big deal."

Doesn't that depend on if it is a top or bottom jaw and if they are impacted and how severely?

I've got a pretty study tyre iron and a steady hammer hand?

I'm sure we can come to some arrangement.

No you don't, get a referral to either a dentist or dental hospital that does from your NHS dentist. Your dentist has a duty of care and shouldn't fob you off like that.

My dentist pulled one of my wisdom teeth but another needed pulling and because he thought I might need stronger sedation than they do at the practice he referred me to the dental hospital where they are fully equipped to sedate more heavily. As it turned out I didn't need it, but knowing the option was available was good.

Cheepest option is a university dental school, as the treatments are normally free, but they tend to have rather long waiting lists.
