I wouldn't turn up at work or on a meet in scruffy shoes but I must admit I do have scruffy trainers for everyday leisure time, pottering around the garden etc

It doesn't as such annoy me, I just personally want to look nice and smart on a meet, and (thought) other men Would.

Catthorpe

I get where you're coming from, annoyance isn't really the case but it's not pleasant on the eye, for example: I've seen pics with red soled heels and they're scuffed, not pleasant on the eye to me and I would have cropped the scuff out but wouldn't describe it as annoying. Now annoying is my neighbour who's decided to put a washing line in her front garden, I asked her why the front and not the back garden and the reply was that there's more hours of sunlight at the front. Driving back from work on a hot summers day to be greeted with washing of all sorts next door in the front garden I find annoying, lol.
