Spencer Davis Group with 'Somebody Help Me', and Dusty Springfield at no.2 with You Don't Have to Say You Love Me. Also in the Top 30 that week were The Who, The Yardbirds, The Kinks, Beach Boys, Walker Brothers and Simon & Garfunkel. I have no idea what's in the charts now but I'm betting it's not as good as that lot! |

This is confusing - MODS!
Assuming the other one gets deleted...
Me: Four Tops, Reach Out and I'll Be There.
Mrs: Long John Baldry- Let the heartaches begin
(Which is apt, as I wear Long-johns, and am a baldy)
If anyone dares say anything by Another Level.....

"Things Can Only Get Better - D:Ream
Bloody hell that makes me feel old! That was like, yesterday wasn't it? "
I was thinking that... I remember being in a pub (albeit a couple of years underage) when that song was out!! |

I remember it being the theme tune for Labour's election campaign in 1997! |

"Slade - Cos I Luv You
We must be birthday buddies, brother! Mine too (see above) "
So glad I wasn't born the following week, because Benny Hill knocked Slade off the top spot with 'Ernie, the fastest milkman in the west' |

I actually found out my date of birth No 1 in an unexpected manner!! Worked on an autistic unit about 15 years ago and on my first day one of the residents, in his teens, asked me my birth date and rolled off that it was lily the pink!! And he did it every time someone new came on to the job, never got it wrong once!! |

"You've lost that loving feeling- Righteous Brothers for Mint
Back Home- The England Football Squad for Tilly "
Back Home was the first record I ever bought. My tenth b'day. Was born to the refrain of 'My old man's a dustman'. |
