Why don't they stock what you need ?
I only want some fabric washers to stop a dripping pipe, for a few pence !
I don't want a while immersion tank, pumps, deluxe shower or other expensive plumbing stuff I'd need a professional to install
Now I've got a 10 mile drive to the nearest specialist plumbers shop |

Thankfully that's one of the perks of renting.
I leave all that shit to my landlord.
When it comes to DIY I'm clueless.
I'm terrible at it. I wouldn't know a hammer from a nail. |

Always worth a look in lidl to see if they have a box of various sized washers for sale...
They stock stuff like that every now and then, and I know that at the moment they are selling assorted 'O' rings and hose clips so they may have washers in... |

Sign of the times, in the 50s and 60s we would have either had one in a jar or a tin in the house or simply cut one out of old rubber.
Today we moan because the closest shop does not carry them in stock |
