Why don't they stock what you need ?

I only want some fabric washers to stop a dripping pipe, for a few pence !

I don't want a while immersion tank, pumps, deluxe shower or other expensive plumbing stuff I'd need a professional to install

Now I've got a 10 mile drive to the nearest specialist plumbers shop

Thankfully that's one of the perks of renting.

I leave all that shit to my landlord.

When it comes to DIY I'm clueless.

I'm terrible at it. I wouldn't know a hammer from a nail.

Always worth a look in lidl to see if they have a box of various sized washers for sale...

They stock stuff like that every now and then, and I know that at the moment they are selling assorted 'O' rings and hose clips so they may have washers in...

Wakefield

Sign of the times, in the 50s and 60s we would have either had one in a jar or a tin in the house or simply cut one out of old rubber.

Today we moan because the closest shop does not carry them in stock
