Jared Letos casting is just pandering to fawning fangirls - as good as Ledgers Joker was, the producers just don't seem to understand that the joker isn't hot, isn't sexy, he's a fucking MONSTER, an absolutely psychopathic instrument of chaos who's entire purpose of being is to have a laugh at ANYONES expense.
I've always said he should be played by Willem Dafoe, who's face is naturally scary enough to portray the character, in fact he's SO well suited to the role that if you google image search his name, you come up with an entire category of him made up as the Joker! |

I think he'll do a great job. His is looking more like the graphic novel, and looks dark
But the same doubts were raised when heath was cast, and there is nothing 'hot' about his portrayal,
Jared is a brilliant actor, his role in dallas buyers club proved that I think.
He's very much a chameleon in films, people don't realise it's him in many of the roles he's played, which is testament to a good actor (his fight club and panic room roles are examples of that) |

I honestly have no idea what they're doing. The tattoos are ridiculous, no Joker would ever sit down and patiently get "damaged" tattooed on his forehead. Also the grill! He looks like bad rapper went through a early 2000's MySpace emo phase. If they tone down the tattoos,and get rid of the grill then maybe it'll be passable. |

He looks awesome this has to be a different look to Heath Ledger. If this is anything like The Killing Joke.. Joker then it could be awesome for the people that knows what he does in that book. |

Pretty boy or handsome actors shouldn't be used for the joker, although Heath Ledger did a really good job to be fair and was made to look quite ugly as well as insane. However, Leto is a complete pretty boy almost bordering on feminine in his looks. Judging by the picture so far the insane is there but not the ugly and the joker is both plus he just doesn't look creepy or intimidating enough.
Btw, I heard they are casting Rowan Atkinson as Christian Grey for the next 50 shades movie! |
