Not quite as good as a freebie but satifying all the same.
Was walking past a Tescos when i took the long way back with the dog so popped in for some Basics, and past the wine isle (on purpose of course) and the offer of 3 for £12 was FAB!!!
Even the check out girl commented saying my god - that should have cost you £30!!!
Now thats the sort of Bargain I like, so the challenge is now - can i keep onto them for the dinner on tues or will i only have one left by then and have to get another "bargain" heeehee |

"If they can make a profit at £12 isn't it surprising what margins they normally earn!"
Now that i DONT want to think about - cos they keep bleating about putting the prices up and stopping all these offers to stop binge drinking!!!
Hmmm, where would they get the tax money from then i wonder????
More out of the working persons wage packet????
Cos it wont be a cut on benefits now will it.
.
Grrr...pissed off now so gonna open my nice ymmu chilled BRGAIN wine |

Youre not far wrong there! "
They don't
look at the rate of tax on those wines
If they are normally priced at £30 thats what they will pay duty and vat at
It's what is commonly known as a loss leader |

depends what wine it is, i work in a wine shop and know the margin is quiet high on wines but it will depend on what they buy it in at and how much they get, will then determine what they sell it at, we still get customers asking for the 342 but that is not legal anymore |

342 not legal????
How??
Thats rediculous - as the offer i got today i basically got 341!!! (well 1.2)
Honeslty all this pissing about saying cant sell this and must over price that - if we all stopped buying wine and beer then am sure the kids would do more drugs so same problem with injuries etc for the nhs - but the villains will have all the funds not the government!!!
Keep it fairly priced so that us mere mortals can afford to have a tipple, but takes a chunk out the kids pockets.
Mind you - saying that the kids seem to have much more money than me anyway -= and no bills to pay!!!
I am gonna bloody enjoy this bottle thats for sure!!!! |

Sorry but you can beat it, if you`d bought 6 bottles for £24 you would have got an extra 5% off too!
So get drinking what you`re 3 bottles & but twice as much next time |

"I bought 5 for £25 the other week in tesco instead of £50. I knew they had changed the offer but didnt know what too, guess whose going to tesco tomorrow "
heeheee
Mine was only a little Tesco Express too so i was suprised they had any offers on at all.
And you know what - all this talk of wine and so far i have only had one bloody glass!!!
Phone calls and such like, grrrr.
Going off to pour another one NOW!!!!
Not had one all weekend!!!
But the fact its now gone dark and its not the lovely sunset that i planeed to drink it by, sort of ruins it a bit.
GET YOUR ASS to Tesco girl - and say hello to that check out lady for me!!! |
