At work today someone had left a dog tied to a car outside school for 2 hours, poor thing was howling and had a tiny bowl of water - I only heard about it after it had already been left for the 2 hours, so I went and sat with it - they had shut the lead in the car door parking on a grass verge and the dog was laying on the grass but in the sun, it was baking!

Made my blood boil! I got a scarf and unclipped it's lead and we sat in the shade - the police had been called.

The dog owner comes running over apologising and the police told her off - still can't believe it. She thought as she had parked in the shade the dog would be ok - I told her the shade moves! What if someone had also stolen the dog?

I'm still cross about it - at least the dog is ok.

Thanks guys - I didn't even ask my boss I just did it - he knows I'm an animal fan. People need educating these days on how to take care of dogs, some are clueless.

As an animal lover, thankyou for taking the time for comforting the dog.The owner doesn't deserve a pet.

Poor dog - a lovely girl was panting and her back was soooo hot, she was a long haired Collie type, so friendly too.
