Strawberry bon-bons...the old-fashioned type with proper toffee-like consistency when you chew them, and covered in a layer of strawberry-flavoured icing sugar... |

what was known in lancashire and yorkshire
sherbet and kali are two very different confections
the kali was bought in a 1/4 was sweet and nice
american cream soda
rainbow crystals
sherbert fountain
and still a favourate |

I like haribos and Army and Navy sweets and black jacks but they don't turn your tongue black nowdays " Nice and yes some sweets back in the days made your tounge blue as well, but black would be fun to it get to. |

These sweets I had years ago called high sours, they were individually wrapped sour apple sweets!
Today I like cola cubes, pineapple cubes, pear drops, shrimps and bananas! |

Just reading this thread takes me back,does anybody have a corner shop where the jars where behind the counter and they weighed them and gave you them in a paper bag.And u were well pissed off when they put one back because it was too heavy. |

" Yes I remember A local sweetshop that had jars like that in some of the jars we had sherbets, Raspberry, strawberry, lemon, perhaps there were other flavours too but I loved the way the colours spiraled together when mixed in the jars Sometimes it certainly was,nt when it Came out the jars.. |
