This has been puzzling me for some time, although nothing to do with swinging. I wondered if you intelligent people could shed some light on it for me...........

If a fire station can go up in flames,

And a plumbing business go down the drain,

Can a prostitute be laid off???

Abbreviated is the past participle form of the verb to abbreviate. My question was is there a shorter word for abbreviation.

I once saw an AA man sitting at the side of the road in his van, crying his eyes out. I thought 'He's heading for a breakdown'
