And why?
No fake words like innit and lyke.
Genuine words you dislike for whatever reason.
Personally I dislike the word panties/pantys as I associate it with
A. Being an Americanised word
B. Activities like panty sniffing/wearing. |

Top of my list at present is "look" but only in the context that it's currently used in every sentence a politician utters these days. It really grinds my gears!! |

"Fact", when written at the end of a very dubious statement and followed by an exclamation mark.
"Actually", when used by someone with a grade D in A Level general studies, because they think it adds gravitas to their ill-thought out, internet based philosophy.

Ridiculous names for a coffee in cafés
Oh yes. "
I can't ever bring myself to say 'Americano' when what i want is a black coffee...
At work they are now saying we have to 'populate' a form...when really all it means is 'fill in'.
the problem I have is not the words themselves, more the invention of pretendy importance associated with simple tasks...when we would never have said those things when we were younger.
...still getting to grips with 'lunch' at dinner time as well! |

Vanilla in the context of swinging, the perceived superiority of swingers
Nom Nom... load of pish
Mmmmm .... nonsense.
He He He He... mildly acceptable if you are under the age of 7
'Thanks guys'....when used to canvas opinions of the mind-blowingly dumb questions

"C.U.Next Tuesday (capitals only) - in any form!! Just hate the word ... But admitantly use it in times of need "
I like that word but not when it's used as an insult.....using it to describe lady bits makes me tingle |

I don't know of a good context it which it can be used. "
When you get discharged from hospital? I thought that was great....
For me it's the word seepage....particularly when preceded by the word anal........yeeeeuch! |

Slough Heathrow Windsor ish! |
I'm with th OP on panties.... vile word.
Also also titties, botty, clitty, the over use of 'yummy' - "he has a yummy cock" - what are you for fucks sake? A cannibal?!
Sometimes its just the way words are used to try too hard to be overly sexual....(im thinking in a verification context here) it just doesnt work for me.... ends up coming across as stomach churning. |

I dislike Americanisms with a vengeance !
This is one of the reasons, in my opinion, why as a country, we have lost our sense of identity.
Gas pedal....It's a bloody accelerator !(I have even heard a driving instructor use this term)
Cell phone...It's a mobile phone for heaven's sake !
Can I get a....It's please may I have !
I also despair when I enter a café and see a vast list of coffee's on the chalkboard, most of which I don't even know how to pronounce.....I just want a bloody instant coffee !
The term cool, when people are in agreement....this should only be used when referring to temperature !
Any form of text speak.....go away you buffoon !
I could go on and on......but I'm turning into a grumpy old man !

"When some one is writing to you on here or fab guys and says mmmmmm at the end of every sentence, I know its not a word but bloody annoying."
It usually follows barely a sentence too meaning you're doing all the work keeping the chat going. |
