It used to, yes. But Game4it2 once posted something about it and I realised that spelling, grammar etc really doesn't matter. It's the person that matters.
Jo you were responsible for me taking my head out of my arse about spelling etc. So thank you. |

I tend not to mind so much, to be honest it is easy enough to make a typo and it's rare that I bother to proofread everything I type online.
We all make mistakes, after all. However, the initial post did amuse me. |

"Does it annoy anyone else that some people on here can't spell ??? "
No.
I was fortunate, via the Forces education policy, to have had a better education than most, leading to me being the first person in our family ever to go to university. I appreciate that many people were not as fortunate as I was; I also recognise that this does not make me 'better' than them.
For many years I worked on construction sites, and some of the best people I met could only write their name, let alone not be able to spell.
That said, we all make mistakes, and my phone frequently conspires against my dodgy speeling.

The odd typo or wrong word, I really don't care. Deliberate text speak or just coming across a bit of a moron, I'll probably delete.

Not at all, what does annoy us though are them that pull others up that struggle themselves or when they have oddly placed commas on there profile as though they don't fully understand how to use punctuation
Oh and we can't spell to save our lifes, are we bothered? nope. |

As long as it is readable I have no problems with them.As you can see I don't know where to put all the punctuations or commas but I am sure people can still read my message. |

Never bothered me. My punctuation isn't perfect, i have to retype words a lot of the time because i type the letters in the wrong order, just some words like you i often spell it oyu even though i know how to spell it, don't know why it happens but it does. I know the difference between their, there and they're but sometimes use the wrong one by accident.
So long as i can tell what's being said then i'm not arsed. My sister uses txt spk coz she texts a lot and that doesn't bother me either. |

On here I tend to put me & ma instead of my, and yer instead of your, because that's how I pronounce it when I speak. Other than that I tend to spell most things correctly, and if it was on official email or letter, there would be no mistakes at all.
As others have said, as long as I can understand what a message says and they can understand mine, then all is good |

Never spotted the spelling mistake first time and still had to read the post twice more after you said there was one. |

"So long as i can tell what's being said then i'm not arsed.
Surely it's more important that the recipient of your message knows what you're trying to say?"
I used to chat to a guy in iran, he spoke farsi and i spoke english. He's the only person i have never been able to have a proper conversation with but we tried and had simple conversations easily enough (thanks to google translate). I can understand txt spk, as well as a few foreign languages, and some messages on here it takes me a while to get what they're saying but i can figure it out, sometimes on my own or others have figured it out before me.
Communication is very important, but even messages that have no mistakes can be taken wrongly on the internet too, just because you can't quite tell how someone is saying it.

Someone has written you a great, witty message with perfect spelling and grammer...but they've only matched a couple of your preferences or someone has written you a message that reads horribly but they match your preferences to the last detail.
What do you do? |

Pretty much this. Poor spelling I can understand, but text speak I have to sit and work out and that's too much like hard work! So long as I can read the message without having to try to break a code I'm not overly bothered about spelling or punctuation. |

We are on here to have a laugh and hopefully meet people face to face so to speak, I tend to type the way I talk as I still use one finger to bash the keyboard which doesn't always come across as Grammatically correct but hey ho
Mind you if we were in the Pub/Club and someone was actually talking to us in Text speak I think I might

"Does it annoy anyone else that some people on here cant spell ??? " . Yes , we should all aim to raise our standards . I like to identify my good and bad points and where necessary make an effort to improve them. I have taken a book on holiday called." The Usbourne Guide To Better English - Grammar , spelling and punctuation " . As it only cost £9.99 I consider it to be money well spent. If people correct my use of English , I appreciate the effort that they have made and try to avoid repeating the same mistake again . If you would not turn up at a meet dressed as a scruff , how can poor use of English be acceptable .

I thought this was a swingers site not a school. Some people cannot spell correctly and have dyslexia. We should not judge others. I use my phone for site and some days make major mess ups.
If you can get the gist of messages thats fine by me |

As a couple we both send messages to people. My partner is dyslexic so has trouble with his spelling. Some messages he writes will have bad spelling, but so far we have not been judged on this. |

According to your first sentence you're looking for nsa sex with someone who is clean, and shaven with a 54" chest and 36 waist. Grammar not an issue with you? You have spelling mistakes and have missed some capitalisation too. Back to school for you my boy! Or are you just being lazy with something that is supposed to attract people to you. |
