There's one who lives not far from us is just starting a 14 months prison term.
He wasn't fat but the house he lived in was fat - stuffed with 70,000 items of undelivered mail.
That's right - 70,000 ! |

I'm not ... apparantly over a period of 2 years he stole letters and packets from his colleauges pigeon holes at the delivery office, took them home and stole gift vouchers, money and anything else he could lay his thieving hands on ...
In his defence, his barrister stated that, 'At least he never tried to tamper with cheques or credit cards that he had stolen' !!!!
Now wasn't that decent of him ?
According to the news his house was so packed with mail that he had to abaondon the place and move in with his Mother ! He'd also tried to destroy some of the evidence of his crimes by setting fire to it.
He was found guilty of theft, criminal damage, arson and interfering with the mail.
According to Royal Mail, he has lost his pension as it has been used to fund to cost of redelivering the stolen mail.
And for all that he got 14 months |
