Nr Manchester

My dad borrowed our jigsaw (to cut wood, not the 500 pieces of blue sky type!). The following day he told me that our jigsaw had broken down so he'd bought himself one!

Another time my mum and dad borrowed my car (we were away on holiday in Scotland at the time and their car was in the garage).

While they were out for the day my car broke down. They managed to get a lift home off some friends they happened to meet by chance.

I received a phone call to say my car was 40 miles away from Manchester, where it had broken down, but 300 miles away from where we were on holiday!

They didn't think it was their responsibility to retrieve the car!

I had to make arrangements from Scotland. When I suggested they should've done this they fell out with me.

Family.... You can't live with them, you can't live with them!

I was out and someone came for a new stick of ram in his computer, Shaz thought she would do it to save me the time, cracked his motherboard

Years ago I would fix family and close friends computers for free, it got to the stage I was fixing friends of friends of friends, wish I had never started so had to put an end to it.

Not that hard, try putting the ram in the wrong way round so the peg don't line up and push a little to hard.

Also easy to do if any spacers are missing under the board.

Stockton-on-Tees

I stopped to help a colleague who had broken down, and in return I was attacked, accused of sabotaging his car, suffered 12 months of harassment, my parents house attacked, taken to court for something that didn't happen (and he never turned up), and ultimately lost my job!!

Within a week my faith in humanity was restored, when I jump started another colleague!!

We live in a crazy world!!

(the consolation, if you can call it that, after the cps lost the evidence, was that he was bound over for a year, and then suffered a massive heart attack - turns out I was the 4th person to suffer a similar situation with him, but because of his race, he got away with it every time!!)

Yep, helping my ex who was my boyfriend at the time. 8 years ago, end of a night out and in the taxi queue, some men pushed in front I started mouthing off, they then started on my ex, before I knew it there were 4 guys just battering him in front of me, nobody helped, it spilled over on to the pavement, I took my high heels off and jumped in, ended up with me putting one man through woolworths shop window. Me then getting arrested but through a miracle and a shit hot solicitor got off with a caution for common assault but a bill for over 2 grand for the window and having my licence taken off me when I was a 2nd dan black belt kickboxer. Can never go for another belt again, can never work with children or elderly or vulnerable people. Have to declare this stupid caution when applying for jobs when I should have just had a fag and watched him get a hiding.

"hubby tried to fix mums tv result? gonna cost us new tv tomorrow"

If there is a high probability that the result of helping someone could get me in the shit too I say call a specialist.
