A lovely butterfly just flew into my office through an open window and started banging into the glass, trying to get back out.

I got up from my desk, caught it and cupped the butterfly in my hands, intending to take it outside and let it go.

On my way out of the office, I tripped over my chair and I've squashed the fucker in my hands. So much for my Good Samaritan intentions.
