I saw on BBC news yesterday some idiot diagrams to show how deep they were and how they were living and I was shocked.
Firstly how deep they were but then secondly the scale of the place down there. I had pictured them stuck in a small hole or cavern in pitch black. The place is like a frikin underground shopping centre!
Still I'm sure they will be glad to be back up top. Eye Spy must be an absolute mare now. |

"Except for one of 'em who's missus has found out he's been parking the love machine in another woman's garage. "
She can chuck him back down the hole then
Hoping they all get back safe and well |

Getting back to their wives in time for Christmas is going to be a mixed blessing for those chilean miners.
Sure, they'll appreciate being able to get some nice home cooked food and some clean clothes, but my God, they're going to miss the anal.
and one of them is suffering from severe depression
he forgot to clock in |

"Hopefully will soon be released, can't imagine the pressure on them and the rescue people.
Will be good to celebrate all returned safe to their loved ones.."
Lets just hope they can get them out without problems with the shaft. |

What has suprised me (in a disappointed way) is the state of the place above where they are trapped. Families living in tents.... some little more than plastic sheets. Whilst there is only so much that can be done in terms of the rescue itself... fuck me there's been feck all support for the families of those trapped. |

Yeah plus the temp during the day is 35+ degrees and at night -10 degrees! Not good in a tent. |

Is it just me or does anyone else feel completely unmoved by this event?
They're not in danger.
They're not starving.
They're not lacking water.
They're gonna get a fuck load of compo.
...and they'll be national heroes in Chile.
What's the big deal about it? |
