Wouldn't agree in real life. Hell i get called out for being younger which is nice. As to fab or online sites there seem to be a few fibbers (only a few though  ) |

I dunno.. I got ID'd for a 15 rated movie last week.. but I'm not sure that counts as I've not really 'aged' by 21..
In my opinion, my dad has aged better than my mum.. but then again my mum drinks too much alcohol so I suppose that doesn't help the ageing process |

Nope.
I don't think one gender has any advantage here.
I know examples where men look younger than women of the same age and vice versa.
Guess it just depends if they've been on the sunbeds since 13, smoked 80 a day, don't own a cooker and their wardrobe consists of items with elasticated waists.

I think it's you , or maybe guys have more appeal as they get older . There are loads of guys in their 40s and early 50s who are so hot , yet very few women in the same age bracket we find attractive . |

No I know men I wouldn't have looked twice at when they were 20 who are hot now they're lightly greying, getting laughter lines next to their eyes and wearing more suits |

It depends on the person really, I've mentioned many a time how when you look at the top hundred sexiest men and women on websites and what not, the guys are typically a good 10-20 or so years older than those who make up the female lists. |

You have to take into account the Fab inflation effect on body size and the Fab deflation effect on age.
My wife is the most attractive she's ever been (in her late 30s)

Sounds like there's just more men lying about their age, which makes sense given the larger number of men vs women. Either that or all the sex is wearing them out. |

I don't think it's a gender thing per se as eveyone ages differently.
What I do know is as a woman in my late 40's I look better now than when I was say in my 30's but I also have to work a lot harder to maintain it!! |

I have met men younger and older than myself in my time on Fab. I've not really noticed any discrepancy between the age they say they are on here and the age the actually are, although I do know of a few guys (never girls) who shall we say round down their ages. I've never felt the need to but did feel a bit weird the first time I went on a meet with a guy in his early thirties since we popped for a coffee after the meet and I thought everyone might look at us together and wonder what someone like him was doing with an old heifer like me. |

Depends on the person I think but often at some clubs the women have made more effort and the men just come as they are. I think you have to take your personal preference into account, for example I am attracted to women my age but younger men, in general. |

I think that aging well depends on genes, health, diet and not just on make up (for the ladies!) If someone looks after themselves, then age can be hard to determine. Works the other way round too, seen some people who have partied waaay too hard and paying the price. I have met up with a couple of guys from on here who have lied about their age, big time. One admitted to being late 40s, sent a pic that was 10 years younger and when he turned up, he had a bus pass! In fact, this has happened twice to me. I also see profiles of guys who joined in 2006 and when I asked for a more recent pic, got told that he 'hadn't changed much!' |

Think men generally age better than women.
They dont seem to worry about things like us women so have less stress.
My husband is better looking now than when we got married, while I just look knackered!!
Mind you, I must have looked old even when I was younger. As I have NEVER been ID'd! Even when I was really underage! |

I think there are a lot of people who take a substantial amount (10 years plus) of their age and genuinely think they can get away with it! I once men a '35 year old' who was really 49 - I wasn't impressed - and he was upset that I wouldn't verify him!
That said I think age is just a number to a large extent! There are women in their fifties on here who look far better than many women in their twenties! How well you take care of your body (drinking, smoking, food quality, fluid intake, exercise, sun exposure, skincare) can result in one person looking far younger/older than another by the time they hit their forties and fifties!  |

I have noticed this but then I look at more male profiles than female.
Plus women can fake to a certain extent with makeup in photos. There are often signs in person. |

Hubby might only be 21, but he genuinely looks younger now than he did when he was 15 and we started dating haha even all his friends agree they don't understand how he looked so much older then than he does now!
Men as they mature seem to worry less and just get on with life - I think that little bit of confidence teemed with dressing smarter does wonders for them lol
I on the other hand am 24 and had to start the anti-wrinkle creams already lmao |

I think it depends on how much care has been taken by someone and think older guys have generally not done so, as much as many women or younger guys today.
There are guys here who look 60s, proclaiming 41 etc, concerning me either about lies or what a harsh life they've had, maybe gene roulette harsh luck.
I'm shocked if some get away with deception or its acceptance. I know it's tough for single guys but deception isn't going to help.
Far better to do something about your physical fitness, health and appearance, whilst being honest. And target those who want your real age group. |

I don't think most people age well at all, looks wise.
You see the occasional person who really does look younger than their age but most people look older than they are, i've seen 21 year olds with crows feet, not sure how that's even possible? |
