"Currently on Sky TV but price hike and no champions league this season prompting me to change ....... What's your thoughts tips ??
Xxx "
Virgin is more expensive than sky... i acually think a better service...and tbh...Virgin get all there services from Sky..so invariably there prices will be going up |

I HATE Virgin media, he won't let me change to sky as he doesn't want a satellite dish on the house. The internet is said to be better on Virgin but it's always going down and the TV guide is slow. I prefer sky. |

Got Virgin phone, broadband & Tivo (basic channels) in my bedroom & HD box in daughters room. Sky (full package) in living room.
Looked in to going with just one provider to try to save money. Either way I would only save about £2.00, didn't seem worth all the hassle.
Only problem I find with Sky is when it's really hammering it down with rain. |

Had Sky years ago
The big advantage with Virgin is that all the kit still belongs to them while you are in contract with them so if any part needs replacing or upgrading they do it at usually their cost. With Sky, you own the kit |

No probs with Virgin here, sometime the Tivo is a bit slow getting into Netflix but otherwise i find it's a good service for the money. Broadband is super fast as well but then again, it all depends how close you are to the exchange (even if you're on fibre optic, there's invariably cables somewhere in the network). |

Easy solution. Leave him and come live with me. I've got sky |

No problems wiuth sky apart from the price.Although they do reduce quite good
When haggling with them dont just say im going with someone else as they know all the other deals now. tell them you cant afford what your paying and may have to leave, especially when they are doing deals with new customers |

"My Sky is going up to £ 80 per month and have decided to reduce my package or just chuck it in completely , just too expensive "
I phoned Sky and whinged and whined and got them to reduce it by nearly £20. Just threaten to leave and they do a deal. Not sure if Virgin are cheaper but it saves he hassle of swapping.

Virgin x basic package
TiVo box
Pause record live tv x
Either buy Apple TV and get Netflix et al
Or use film streaming websites and flip to TV
Or footy reports . Net for live by sport / sky foot matches x |

Started off with Virgin... No issues
Changed to Sky years ago when Virgin lost Sky 1 and Sky Sports News and my ex insisted he needed those.
As soon as my ex moved out I went back to Virgin.
TV and Internet have always been far more reliable for me than they were with Sky |

Talk Talk with entertainment boost for the more popular channels - even sky sports!
Not that I watch it
£45 per month including unlimited internet and calls from land line - moved from sky, had multi room package - cost me £145 per month
No brainer for me

For me sky beats Virgin ....was with Virgin for nearly 3 years and bills had doubled in that time ...internet speed has dropped ...changed to sky got more channels and faster broadband at a third of the price |
