I have realised
How much I have evolved on this site, I have an appreciation of stuff that I have done wrong and would do differently if faced the situation again.
My self awareness is where I want it to be, finely tuned.
I am intolerant of somethings that i should maybe look differently at.
and difference is something to be cherished and celebrated |

I've learnt that people have really thin skins and love chucking the words "that's offensive" "I find that offensive" and finding offense when none is given...basically this place is full of cry babies. |

Yes
That Google isn't always my friend, and some things can't be unseen
Ever.
Having said that, I have learnt so much that I think the site should approach Sydney University with a _iew to awarding some sort of qualification for forum regulars

We have learnt that we should embrace all things with a more open mind .
That some people , no matter how hard we try , are always gonna be irritating .
That there will always be just as many judgemental people on here as anywhere else .
That the forums can be fun , but when they're not for us we should stay away a while , rather than get angry on here .

I've mainly learned that we are a varied lot, and mainly delightful, thoughtful folk...
I am also always intrigued that people think that there are a lot of time wasters on the site, but also that if you don't have ics you must be one of them, even though it is perhaps best to be careful with such things because of all the time wasters on the site!
a delightful vicious circle!
...but I do love the forums and enjoy reading the debates. Long may we all continue... |

I've learnt loads of things courtesy of the forums, some I never knew even existed!!
I've also realised I'm a pretty laid back & tolerant person who doesn't always need to have the last word...well apart from when I kill the thread |

I have a good degree of tolerance in most avenues of life but there are certain things on a personal level that I will not compromise with discipline on ...people around me used to find it quite intense ...I thought it genually was mainstream ...I dropped into a forum and everyone thought I was a butter as well ...so I have relaxed a bit |

No, gravy on chips is correct. Preferably wi' some peas.
Curry sauce is however an acceptable alternative.

What have I learnt?
That we are judgemental and very opinionated.
Everyone hates married men.
Everyone hates bareback.
And that these are the most discussed topics in one form or another.
And the forums can make me laugh, intentionally or not.
And the term 'opinions are like arseholes....' is used quite often.
But above all, they can be very entertaining! |
