I've just stumbled across Citizen Smith on Drama. It's been years since I've seen this

I know there are a lot of fans of Only Fools and Horses, but the Christmas special is probably the best thing Sullivan wrote

I actually noticed watching an old ali fight last month, his weight was just under 14½ stone, I'm not a big boxing fan but I was thinking that can't be right for a heavyweight champion then they got foremans weight up and he was a big guy and he was only 16 stone

Missed Citizen Smith, so watching the Likey Lads with a face like

Streets with no parked cars

Kids playing on demolition/bombsites

And, two pub dinners and two pints of lager - "that'll be 82p, pet"

And was a this the last ever sitcom starring a Civil Engineer?

I liked the likely lads.

But I love what ever happened to them, it's a brilliant satire on getting on a bit

That was the one, the 'whatever happened..." , the 70s colour sequel

It's funny watching a programme more for a sort of 'social documentary' viewpoint lol. Brings back memories of playing on old abandoned aerodromes as a kid!

If you can find it watch it. It's a little bit bonkers but it is a proper slice of late 60s London that didn't change much until the 80s.

What I find inedible now looking back.... Is being allowed to do stuff that seems a bit crazy today!.

I remember buying an air rifle from a local shop and I was no more than 10 or 11 and coming home with it and shooting it in our back garden and my parents thought it OK lol.

We were naughty kids but not malicious

That's why we needed information films not to climb into old fridges, climb into quarries and stand in front of tractors.

Don't forget the playing next to the pylons during a big electric rainstorm.

My sister and I still wonder how we managed to survive the 70s thinking back to the risky things we did.

This is going to sound bizarre but we used to get fluorescent tubes from the factory next door and hold them in your hands under the pylons and at night.... They glow, many a good September was spent playing Luke skywalker

That sounds about right.

We did stupid things like dangling off the edge of the balcony of our flat - 18 floors up.

The only episode I can remember is where Wolfy, his mate with the glasses and their girlfriends were in a pub. His mate's girlfriend was saying you had to chew your food 20 times and every time she popped a peanut in her mouth she chewed it 20 times.
