Why no Europe search on fab?

curious as to why fab has the option to search USA ,CANADA etc, but not other European countries?
Being a UK based site, there's loads of Brits living in Spain etc or just off on holiday, I think it would be good if you could change your location and also search others who also have.
Surely this is a massive extra revenue stream for fab, attracting more people from other European countries? |

We would 100% agree but think you are flogging a dead horse. This has come up a few times in the past but nothing has ever been done about it. 
We even suggested a European club review section but got nowhere.
Seems that the powers that be are not interested. |

Wonder why the reluctance ?
The interface is already there to list other countries.
I'm sure there would be a big influx of expats joining if the option was there. |

Because the amount of people who would actually search on that criteria is very, very small.

We are 100% behind this, its the one thing lacking on FAB, maybe we should start a petition!!
Just think of all the great holidays that could be arranged.
It would be nice to get a reply from admin, as there may be a good reason why not. |

Yeh good point, there's no Brits living in Europe and non of us who live here ever visit Europe either, case closed then I guess  |

Well..
I'm not saying it's not useful.
But I don't think it's worth the time and expense for admin to implement it.
I mean the fact is, you've posted this in the lounge (by far the busiest section of the site) and ONE other couple wants the feature.
You guys are "International swingers" but you are a very, very small minority.

But your making assumptions..that theres a small amount of european swingers..ever done a whos close when abroad on your phone..you might just be surprised  |

Well... couldn't you just put a meet up in whatever country you happen to be in OR before you arrive? ...
That's probably better than searching it out.
That's my thought anyway. |

There's no option to put a meet up in other countries .
Only way of knowing if there's other members nearby is if they have their location enabled, which not everyone does.
Can't see it being an expensive thing to add the option of other countries, it's already there for some countries outside Europe .
I just wondered if there's another reason I'm missing. |

But we see that the Australia Forum has been hijacked as a North West Forum...
Good idea, actually, as the Oz forum is very rarely used.
So, may we suggest that the NZ forum is used for say, Fabsters in Spain, the USA forum for Europe in general? |

Yes this is a real problem for those of us living in Europe. We have to use a UK postcode to register and of course, despite making it very clear in our profile that we actually live in France, we constantly receive messages from people who don't appear to read the profiles they respond to.
If the site owners / administrators would at least explain why they will not make such a simple change to the search engine to allow country specific searches, it would save us all from having to make our perennial comments about the problem. |
