And if you take KW out of the equation, it ain't too bad at all.

Patti Smith, Death Cab for Cutie, The Waterboys, Motorhead, Franz Ferdinand and Sparks, Hot Chip, Deadmau5 and George Clinton...will all do me, starters

That's like not going to a restaurant because they have one dish on the menu that you don't like!

Indeed. it's pathetic to pass it by because of one act. Unless you are the sort of dullard that just watches the pyramid stage acts and misses 95% of what's going on what does it matter?

In the interests of keeping up with the times I am going to Google all of these beat combos and listen to some of their musical stylings. I have heard of some though so I'm not quite past it.

I realised the other day that in all the years we've been going, I've only ever seen three bands headlining the pyramid stage...one of which I left early because they were shit and another I fell asleep because I was so pissed!

It always confuses me when people see the headliners and dismiss glasto....

If you can't find something to do at any given time while there other than stand in front of a stage, that's a bigger reflection on the person than the event I feel......soooo much happening at any given time there it's impossible not to enjoy something.

I would see. Patti Smith , The Waterboys , Motörhead and George Clinton. But I haven't been to Glastonbury for about twenty as I'm uncomfortable being out in the elements all day now and I need good toilet facilities.

I'm also wondering when did I get so old.

The toilets are much better these days, especially if you venture up to the kids field!

"Truly gone down the pan!"

It's really no different, fundamentally, to how it's been ever since they put the fence up.

People complain about the headline acts but it hasn't been that long since fucking Level 42 were headlining...And It's even take KW over that (well, actually I'd do exactly the same as this year and find something else to watch)

I saw Susanne Vega headline one year. She was very good though.

She was very good. Her voice was amazing. She had a bit of a band so not all acoustic. But I don't think anything was lost just because she wasn't banging out loud songs. The crowd loved her as well.

Level 42 headlined about 30 years ago I would say that was a long time ago

But they're the halcyon days that everyone keeps harping on about! When, in fact, they were equally as shite as they're made out to be now.
