I will start...
More of what we have had for the last five years and continued growth outstripping our European neighbours. Continued problems with the low wage economy but gradually improving as the focus moves away from Degrees to apprenticeships and skills. An ever increasing number of "lost" people as the poorly educated and those lacking skills continue to to suffer in a more technical workplace. No EU referendum as the coalition partner vetoed it. Cameron resigns in year 4 giving way to Theresa May or Boris Johnson thereby increasing the chances of a third consecutive conservative (led) government in 2020 by which time a rocking economy will be in surplus and the debt started to be brought under control. I predict that Climate Change will become less relevant but technological advances will have made electric personal transportation really viable. |

no I can't stop myself blabbing while d*unk.
I'll give you a tip what comes after the deflation?.
If you really like material wealth and I suspect you do  .
Look to change your assets from cash to something inflation proof!.
Maybe look to something like silver, it's use in pv panels is likely to go up alot in the coming years, hold it in bullion form, just in case .
By then I think we'll have definitely seen stocks collapse and commodities rocket!
Oil over a hundred again maybe 150, it's really hard to predict what will happen with the dollar and that will be the main driver on cost of oil, by 2020 though I'm almost sure most of the American market of non-conventionals will be either bankrupt/gone so it will definitely be on the move upwards.
This could at last be good for British manufacturing, with a high oil price and restricted growth id look for heavy industry to return first maybe?.
I think more than likely by 2020 houses too far out might start losing value from being non commutable!.
I think we'll probably see a return to weaver type housing in town centres with people living and working within the same dwelling with speciality services.
Pensions will be upto 75 by then and reduced in value and I think we'll probably see a big push on self induced illnesses being paid for themselves, it's a natural squeeze there'll use when things are tight!.
I think the real problem will be in Europe, if it's not reformed and I mean properly reformed, I think you could see some really serious uprisings in European cities, also with rising fuel costs, I'd look to off load any Spanish/ Portuguese/ French holiday appts, there'll be dead wood.
Either way I don't think it will matter ajot what party is in power unless it's the green party and even I know that's not a reality!.
I think if I really wanted to make serious money.... I'd buy land in south america probably Chile it's got great resources or Uruguay for its banking privacy, you can get land there ridiculously cheap at the moment and that's likely to increase rapidly the southern hemisphere has far less pollution and I think only two or three nuclear plants!, anyhow I'm losing my plot now oh yes 2020 uk.

What perplexed me is the fact they had to bring in that young hip cool dude Cameron with his recycled shoes and his cycling to get ejected but in reality nearly all the real Tory's hate him! And funnily enough all the real greens hate him and the real lefties.

Clearly a Tory voter then.
A) assuming they'll get in again.
B) assuming everything will 'great' if they do.
Not surprising that in the local area all the placards with 'I am voting Tory' are outside large, detached properties with long driveways. None of them appear to be short of money.
However, that's quite normal. If you have money, are an 'employer' or from the private/school banking classes you vote Tory. If you're a low paid public sector worker you vote Labour. |

Here's my prediction, it doesn't matter which party is in.
1 we'll have more debt after they leave than when they come in.
2 the only way out of the debt is hyper inflation,double digit(that means your wealth being sucked dry).
3 by 2020 we will have the same outlook about housing as we had in 1988... Agghh don't touch it
4 everyone will still be moaning that it's this party or that party but there'll be a large minority waking upto the fact that the system is broken and nobody can/is willing to fix it |

Another 5 years? God help us. They'll probably scrap zero hour contracts in favour of workhouses and make anyone on less than £40,000 pay to use the NHS. Revolution anybody? |

Less relevant? By that, I take it you mean, ignored? We are burning more and more fossil fuels year after year. China being one of the biggest increases in fossil fuel users. They don't run clean power stations. They pump whatever they want into the air. |

It will be "as you were" regardless of who wins. I have no loyalties to any party. The constant promises and lies by all parties is cringe worthy. I long for the day when the country is run by an elected consortium of people with skills in relevant fields. A team consisting of people that are financial experts, healthcare workers, teachers and lecturers. People that know what is actually needed to be spent and done in various areas. Experts in each field. Not a politician that can be Health minister one week and transport minister next.
