"Wetwang near me
wasn't that a game show? "
That was Number Wang
I used to use a Wang word-processor when I first started working in a merchant bank back in the 80s. We didn't think Wangs were rude back then.

And Middelfahrt in Germany!
Don`t forget Lickey End near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, quite famous amongst railway enthusiasts because of the incline which really makes locomotives work hard. You get books on it, "Over the Lickey" comes to mind! |

Don't know of that one but there is Cockermouth in Cumbria. A nice little town. . . William Wordsworths birthplace? |

Slappers Hill not sure of the town
Cocktree Throat

"At the bottom of my street there is an artificial hill called the Slag Heap (which is actually the slag from the iron ore mines) "
Around here, our biggest tourist attraction The Xscape complex is built on slag heaps from the old Glasshoughton and Prince of Wales collieries!
Pontefract is also home to Slutwell Lane...i snigger every time I pass it...that and Barf View in Selby, not rude but makes me chuckle! |

"Wetwang near me

No, but the late great God of Countdown, Richard Whiteley, was the honourary Mayor of Wetwang, and often mentioned it on the show |

Riding as passenger with a guy I used to work with (a well known asshole as it happens) and we entered a village - "I was born here!" he said. The village was Dunting but the naughty boys and girls had been busy and changed the sign to ....... well lets just say it was appropriate to the guy who was driving! |
